FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION (FDIC)
After the collapse of the banking system, the U.S. Government agency created the FDIC in 1933 which maintains the stability of and public confidence in the nation's financial system by insuring deposits and promoting safe and sound banking practices.
This banking collapse was one of the primary reasons for the great depression which fed the panic of people and resulted in the literal choking off of all liquid capital that ran our economy.
